You may not know that go kart racing is one step of the perfect all-day-date in the Philly area. Maybe that is because you have always been so cool that you were never forced to plan an epic date in order to entice someone to go with you, or perhaps it is because you spend too much time reading go kart racing business blogs and not enough time dating… I’m not sure. I don’t know you, but what I do know is how to plan an epic date around Philly. It will take you from about 10am to around 11pm, and it will provide you with all kinds of different interactive situations, so you can really get to know this person.

This date planner is designed as an all-day affair, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be. So if you aren’t quite sure that you will want to spend the whole time with this person, you can always take it step by step. And at the end of any activity, if you guys are meshing well, you can simply say goodbye. If you are confident that you want to hang with this person all day, and you are sure that this person wants to do the same with you, or is at least willing to tolerate your presence for that long, then this schedule will be exactly what you need to blow their socks off.

Step One – Farmer’s Market – 10am to 11:30am

Farmer’s markets always make great dates, especially early-in-the-relationship dates. You can really get to know someone there because all you are going do is walk around talking. Sure you may get distracted by some delicious looking fruits and vegetables, but for the most part you are just going to get to know each other. This is a great thing. It gives you the chance to see if someone is into food because why in the world would you want to date someone who doesn’t get excited by food? Also, you should be able to figure out if they are good at cooking or not. At the very least, it can save you a trip to the grocery store later on in the week, so you can kill multiple birds with one stone. Keep this up for about an hour and a half, maybe two hours, and you will A) know each other much better, and B) work up a healthy appetite in preparation of the lunch.

Step Two – Lunch on Larimer Street –11:30am to 1:30pm

Now that you have worked up some hunger walking all around and looking at yummy foods, you are ready to indulge yourself. There are multiple incredible eateries downtown. Many of these restaurants have patio seating, so on a pretty day, you can sit and eat and watch people come and go. Good people watching is always a positive trait of a date location because it can give you easy things to talk about if there is a lull in the conversation. While there are numerous fantastic restaurants. Some of these downtown restaurants are reasonably prices, and as this is an all-day affair, it may be nice to save a buck here and there.

Step Three – Indoor Go Kart Racing at Speed Raceway – 1:30pm to 4:30pm

Step Three is important. You are going to need some excitement, and go kart racing should do just the trick. After a good amount of walking around and eating, you are bound to be pretty tired. All of the remaining energy in your body is going to temporarily divert to your stomach to help digest your food. Many people make the mistake of ending the date here because they think they will remain this tired, when in fact all they need to do is give it about thirty minutes to get back to normal. For this reason, you want to have step three locked and loaded.

Speed Raceway is going to be your destination. You will need to drive there, as it isn’t near downtown, but this will provide your digesting downtime. (Make sure you remember to bring some good music for the drive. Don’t take the chance on trusting the radio.) You will be re-energizing the date with Speed Raceway’s electric go karts. Their karts are crazy fast, and the place doesn’t leave an exhaust residue on your clothes like the gasoline powered places, so you won’t have to go home and change afterward. A few quick races and you will be all jacked up and ready for the rest of the date.

That is all for the first half of the day, stay tuned to our blog for the second half of the perfect daylong date in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area…
