Suggestions to Keep You Sane During Speed Raceway's Move

Lately we know you’ve had to deal with the troubling news that Speed Raceway is closing its doors for the next few months in order to move locations to a bigger, better facility with better tracks and new go karts in Denver.  Believe us, it’s hurt us just as much as it has hurt you and we’re counting down the days until we can be reunited on the track!  Until that time though, we figured we would try and help you out as much as possible by giving you a few suggestions when it comes to filling the adrenaline rush void left by our move.  So here you go Colorado, here are our 4 action-packed activities to help you survive the move!

Hit the Slopes

It’s crazy to think that the ski season is already almost here, especially since summer only ended a few weeks back, but it’s true!  According to Coloradoski.com, people looking to shred only have a few more weeks to wait, as Loveland and A Basin are looking to open their runs by mid October!  And if you’re not a fan of those resorts, give it a few more weeks and you’ll be able to sample the likes of Copper, Winter Park and Eldora!

Indoor Sky Diving

While sky diving outdoors may be out of the question at this point in the year (I don’t know for sure, I’m no free falling expert), indoor sky diving seems a perfect fit for the adrenaline junkie looking to simulate the terrifying experience of free falling from 30,000 feet!  With numerous businesses around the Denver metro area, finding the right vertical air tunnel shouldn’t be a problem at all, and for the meeker participants, finding your courage should be much easier compared to attempting the real thing!

Catch a Sports Game

There are few things in the world that will get your blood pumping like a good sports match!  No matter if you’re watching the Avalanche take it to their opponents on the ice (while Patrick Roy tries to attach the other coach…), if you’re braving the cold air to watch the Broncos and Peyton Manning, or getting yourself ready for the Nuggets and basketball season, Denver has plenty of sports to help keep your mind off racing, if only for a little while.

Go See a Movie

Wait, go see a movie?  How is that supposed to quench my thirst for speed and indoor gokart racing?  Have you heard of the movie, Rush?  Now that is a racing movie!  If you haven’t seen it yet, spend the money to, you and your adrenaline addiction will be grateful!

The next few months are going to be hard on all of us, that’s a fact.  And while we will be working tirelessly to move into and open our new location in Denver, it is still going to take some time.  So why not try and fill the void with some other adrenaline pumping activities until we’re back.  We can’t promise they’ll be as much of a rush as driving one of our go karts, but it might just help tide you over until we’re back!
